When to See an Orthopedic Provider
An orthopedic provider evaluates injuries to the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. After a car accident or work injury, an orthopedic evaluation helps identify what's injured, how serious it is, and what the next step in your care should be.
Seeing an orthopedic provider doesn't mean you need surgery. Many injuries improve with physical therapy, chiropractic care, and other conservative treatment. When surgery is needed, we coordinate it with our partnering surgeons and see you in our office afterward.

What does an orthopedic evaluation involve?
Your provider asks about your symptoms, medical history, and any recent injuries, examines the affected area, checks your movement and strength, and reviews any imaging or medical records you have. Based on the findings, they'll discuss the next steps in your care.
Does seeing an orthopedic provider mean I need surgery?
No. Many orthopedic injuries can be treated without surgery. Depending on your condition, your provider may recommend physical therapy, other conservative treatments, additional testing, or further medical evaluation.
